The Creating attention toward the problem face in GST Portal, Procedure and other technical aspects issue the larger interest of the taxpayers and tax Professionals Of the country as well as improving compliance level this representation is made by All India Federation of Tax Practitioners.

GST is a complete overhaul of the taxation system in India powered by the GSTN Network.

Any new reform, particularly a tax reform, is bound to have initial resistance. However, tax-paying businessmen were so frustrated by multiple taxes and compliances under earlier laws that they welcome GST wholehearted hoping it will solve all their problems and GST will be easy to understand and implement.

There is a lot of technical changes in the area of Indirect Taxation, especially in GST. We all are aware of the problems and difficulties faced by the taxpayers related to GSTN Network. The compliance, requirement under the GST has increased many folds.

Since the inception of goods and services tax, the register persons are facing many problems and challenges in complying with the provision of the Act and the Rules made thereunder. The GST portal is the main source of the problems caused to the registered person. 

The actual issues are fixed on priority and if the same is solved it will be a big hush to the taxpayers and tax professionals who are struggling right now.

  • to refer any issue requiring a change in Act / Rules / Notification / Form / Circular / Instruction etc. to the GST Council Secretariat and the relevant Policy Wing of the CBIC;
  • To refer any matter related to information technology-related issues pertaining to GST Portal, to GSTN.
Glitches in the GS’IN Portal, cumbersome compliance procedure and documentation are major areas of concern. The issues with the robustness and volume handling capacity of the GST Portal need to be addressed immediately and the same has posed major challenges to taxpayers. A major revamp of the portal is necessary to make it more efficient.

GST Filling Date Extended

Finance Minister extends deadline for GST returns to June 30 from March 31 The FM made these announcements during her address to the media on measures to tackle the economic impact of coronavirus the last date for filing  GST  returns for March, April and May has been extended to June 30. The deadline for composition returns on GST has been also been extended to June 30, 2020. companies with less than Rs 5 crore turnover won't be charged interest or penalty for the late filing of GST. Bigger companies will have have to pay the interest amount at 9 percent for delayed filing of GST, but no late fee or penalty will be levied. The last date for opting for the compensation scheme has been extended to June 30, 2020.
